Leo stood up abruptly, driven by an irresistible force. "I'm going to grab a bottle of water," he lied, his voice betraying a hint of unease.

Aria looked up at him, her sharp eyes seeming to see through the lie. Her gaze followed him as he walked away.

Leo approached the window where Luna stood with the little girl. Luna turned, her body tensing instinctively, pulling the child closer.

The little girl lifted her stuffed rabbit towards Leo. "He's traveling too," she said in a small, innocent voice.

Leo crouched down to her level. "He's a very lucky rabbit," he replied, forcing a smile.

The girl furrowed her brow. "He's not a 'he.' Her name is Cloud," she corrected him firmly.

Luna took a deep breath. "Her name is Sylvia," she said, her voice soft but steady.

The name hit Leo like a punch to the gut. "She's beautiful," he managed to say, his heart pounding.

Luna looked down at Sylvia, then back at Leo. "She's two years and seven months old," she revealed, her eyes searching his.

Leo's hands went cold. Three years ago, he'd made a terrible choice, and now this little girl was the consequence.

Sylvia reached out and wrapped her tiny fingers around Leo's index finger. It was a simple gesture, but it broke his heart.

Behind him, Aria's heels clicked on the marble floor. "Leo," she said quietly. "Our group is boarding."

Luna saw Aria's diamond ring. "Congratulations," she said, her voice sincere but tinged with sadness.

The Boarding Call

Aria Knight, standing a short distance away, called out, “Leo. Our group is boarding.” Her voice was soft but carried an underlying firmness.

Leo’s heart skipped a beat. His feet felt rooted to the spot as he looked at Luna. The little girl in her arms.

Luna caught a glimpse of Aria’s diamond ring. “Congratulations,” she said, her tone sincere, which somehow made it more difficult for Leo.

Aria offered a polite yet cold smile. “Thank you. We’re on our way to our honeymoon,” she replied, her eyes on Leo.

The little girl, still holding Leo’s finger, looked up at him with big, curious eyes. “Are you going on a big plane?” she asked.

Aria answered before Leo could say a word. “Yes, sweetie. He has to leave now,” she said, trying to move things along.

Luna lowered her eyes, and Leo felt a pang in his chest. He was completely stuck, unable to take a single step back.

With a desperate look in his eyes, Leo turned to Luna. “Can I call you?” he blurted out, his voice filled with hope.

Luna held his gaze for a long moment. “Do you still remember my number?” she asked, her smile faint and sad.

“Then try it,” she added, her eyes never leaving his. Leo felt a glimmer of possibility in that simple statement.

Reluctantly, Leo started to pull his hand away from the little girl’s grasp. She held on a bit tighter for a second before letting go.

He took a deep breath and, with a heavy heart, began to walk towards Aria. His mind was a whirlwind of emotions.

As he reached Aria, he stole one last glance at Luna and the little girl. A part of him felt like he was leaving a piece of his soul behind.

The Bombshell Photo

Leo boarded the plane with Aria, but a part of him stayed back at the terminal. During takeoff, Aria was silent, watching as he stared blankly out the window.

As the jet reached cruising altitude over the coast. Leo's phone buzzed with a text from an unknown number. Curiosity got the better of him.

It was a photo of Luna in a hospital bed. Pale. Tired. Holding a newborn in a pink blanket. His heart skipped a beat.

Right beside the bed stood his father. Victor Reed. With his hand on the bed - rail as if he belonged there.

In the background, near the window curtain, was the family attorney, Owen Knight. Leo's eyes widened in shock.

Beneath the image was a line of text: "Ask your father how much he paid to ensure you never knew she was born."

Aria noticed the look on his face and quietly took the phone from his hands. Her eyes scanned the photo intently.

As she did, all the color drained from her lips. She was clearly stunned by what she saw.

Leo's mind started racing, out of control. The honeymoon that was supposed to be perfect now seemed doomed.

Aria closed the text thread and handed the phone back, her calmness more terrifying than a scream.

"That little girl could be your daughter," she stated firmly. It was a hard - hitting fact.

Leo stared at the photo until his eyes burned. The truth he had been kept from was right there in the photo.

"I didn't know," he whispered, his voice barely audible as he grappled with this new reality.

The Revelation

Aria's eyes widened as she saw the photo on the phone. Her breath hitched, and she stared at the image in disbelief. "This... this can't be real," she murmured.

Leo sat there, his face pale. He felt as if the ground had been pulled out from under him. The realization was hitting him like a ton of bricks.

Aria looked at Leo, her eyes filled with a mix of shock and hurt. "How could this happen? How could they keep this from you?" she asked.

Leo ran his hands through his hair, his mind racing. He remembered all the times his father had warned him about Luna. "I was such a fool," he said.

Aria took a deep breath, trying to calm herself. "The little girl... she could really be your daughter," she stated, her voice soft but firm.

Leo just nodded, unable to speak. He stared at the photo of his father standing by Luna's hospital bed. Filled with a sense of betrayal.

Aria reached out and placed a hand on Leo's arm. "We have to figure this out," she said, trying to be supportive.

Leo looked at her, his eyes filled with pain. "I don't know where to start," he admitted, his voice trembling.

Aria thought for a moment. "We need to talk to your father. He's the one who has the answers," she suggested.

Leo clenched his fists. The anger was starting to boil inside him. "I can't believe he did this to me, to all of us," he said.

Aria squeezed his arm gently. "Let's not lose our heads. We'll get to the bottom of this," she reassured him.

Leo took a deep breath, trying to regain his composure. "You're right. We need to find out the truth," he said, determination in his eyes.

As they sat there on the plane, the air was thick with tension. The honeymoon that was supposed to be a new beginning had turned into a journey of uncovering dark secrets.
